It's difficult enough to write about a book of short stories, with all its diverging characters and plot lines, but Carver makes it even harder. What an amazing title, short story writer. Al, the protagonist in 'Jerry and Molly and Sam' is about him feeling that his life is about to fall apart. Also amazing is that he had two kids by the time he was twenty years old.
